Wedding cupcakes are a lovely alternative to a traditional wedding cake.
They can also be great treats for your engagement or hen party too. They’re perfect as an alternative to a large wedding cake or as an extra sweet treat to match in with your cake.
There are so many options with Cupcakes, you can keep them all the same for a more uniform look or you can mix and match flavours for a more rustic look. There are so many flavours to choose from too.
Cupcakes generally cost €2.50 – €3.00 per cupcake, and the 6″ top tier cake ranges from €80-€120, depending on the design.
We will deliver and set up the cupcakes on one of our cupcake stands at your venue. A deposit may be required for the stand, but is returned once the stand is returned to us.
It is difficult to price any wedding cake without first knowing what size, flavours, and design cake you requite, therefore we recommend that you make an appointment for a personal FREE consultation to discuss the design and choice of flavours for your cake/cupcakes. Booking your Wedding Cake
Booking your cake is subject to availability. Summer months can be much busier with Wedding cakes and as each cake is individually designed, we only book a limited number of cakes per week to provide us with the ability to give proper attention to the detail and design of your cake for your special day.
It is always best to book your cake as soon as possible when you know your wedding date. Deposits are fully refundable if your date is cancelled at least six months before the wedding. We recommend that you contact us at least 6 – 12 months before your date. Even if not certain on the design, its good to book the date in as we can fill up very fast for certain dates. The final design of your cake can be decided up to 4 weeks before the date.
Book a Consultation….to discuss your requirements in more detail, particularly if you are unsure as to what you might want. However I have often arranged a wedding cake all by email for couples that are living abroad and cannot make a consultation. Contact us here to arrange a time and date that suits.
A deposit of €50 secures your booking and hold the date. The cake must be paid for in full 14 days before the wedding day. If you are decorating your cake with fresh flowers we recommend that they are supplied by your florist so they match your wedding flowers. We can liaise with your florist to discuss the design and arrange pick up of flowers if needed, depending on location. Please note that cake price does not include fresh flowers.
Wedding Cake Essentials
There are so many options for design and finish that it can be daunting when trying to decide. Here at Vanilla Bean Bakery we can do for you a buttercream cream finish, fondant finish or what is very popular at the minute are naked and semi-naked cakes. And of course, we can also do cupcake towers. There is also the option to hire a dummy cake for display and we can provide cutting cake direct to the kitchen of your venue.
To choose your flavours we give a sample box of tasters at your consultation. We do not charge for this and it is given to you to take away and taste at your leisure.
Our cakes may contain butter, wheat flour, eggs and nuts and are made in an environment that handles nuts and soya. We do not cater to any special dietary requirements. We accept no liability for a customer suffering an allergic reaction from consuming our cakes.
Confirm The Booking….as we strictly limit the number of wedding cakes we make each year, we can only confirm the booking is secured in the diary with a €50 deposit. The balance is payable 14 days before the date of the wedding. Payments can be made in cash, bank transfer or online via debit or credit card. Please ensure also that you have submitted a booking form with your deposit as it is vital that we have all details in writing for your booking. You will find the booking form here to download.
We prefer to deliver all our wedding cakes ourselves and we do not charge extra for delivery to venues in or near Tullamore, Birr, Athlone, Mullingar, and Portlaoise. We may need to add a cost for delivery for venues further away.
It is possible to collect some of our smaller or more simple designed wedding cakes. You can purchase a number of wedding cakes from our online shop that can be collected.
If you or your representative elects to pick up and set up the cake, you assume all liability and responsibility for the condition of the cake once it leaves our possession.
We love to see your wedding cake photos and would love to get some high-resolution photos afterwards form you. Also please feel free to share and tag us on social media from your Special Day
If the use of a cake stand or other display materials is required we reserve the right to make an additional charge and /or request a security deposit on such items. It is the responsibility of the person(s) making the booking to return these items after the wedding and without unreasonable delay and in the same condition that they were provided in. We reserve the right to recover replacement cost or retain any security deposit if such items are not returned or returned damaged
Non-edible materials are used as decoration in some of our designs. Please note that jewels and accessories such as brooches, ribbons, silk flowers, diamante, beads, feathers, etc. that are used to decorate some of our cakes are not edible and must be removed from your cake before serving. We accept no responsibility for any physical harm that may arise from the use of these accessories.
If your cake design requires fresh flowers, they can be supplied by your florist or our florist. Please note some flowers are not suitable for use as cake decoration. Ask your florist for details regarding toxicity. We cannot be held liable for any contamination to our food products that may arise from their misuse.
If flowers are provided by an outside source, we will collect (if feasible) and add to your cake for an additional fee. You acknowledge that fresh flowers are not a food product, and may contain pesticides, insects, dirt, or other contaminants.
We endeavor to provide the cake(s) to the agreed design, as it is a homemade product small variances to the design that may occur. An artistic interpretation of the design requirements or practical requirements to ensure the stability of the cake(s) may also result in variances to the final design.
For Health and Safety and Insurance reasons, we do not take in any cakes to be iced and decorated. As we cannot guarantee a product that that has not been made on the premises.
If we feel that any tier of your cake is not stable or is not 100% for any reason we will substitute that tier for a dummy and bring your baked cake to the hotel kitchen for cutting.
We will give a full refund if you cancel more than 6 months from the wedding date, 50% refund 3-6 months notice. We cannot offer any refund for notice of fewer than 3 months
a €50 deposit is required to secure/confirm the date in the diary – this can be paid at any time but the date will only become a confirmed booking upon receipt of a deposit. The balance is required 14 days before the date of the wedding. Cake samples are provided free of charge and as many meetings, discussions as is required to finalise the details of the wedding cake.
